What a great- BIG collection of B things we had this week.  I was very pleased with the variety and number of items brought.  Thanks for helping your child remember to do their homework. J

Blowing Bubbles

On Tuesday we took the opportunity of the calm morning to blow some beautiful bubbles.  We enjoyed watching many climb high and travel quite far.  They helped us review direction words such as over, under, left, right and through, as well as being a fun thing to do!

Bear Buddies

On Thursday we had a Teddy Bear Picnic.  We reviewed good manners including chewing with our mouths closed, visiting quietly with our neighbor, keeping our hands to ourselves and using our napkin to wipe our mouth.  As I read The Teddy Bear’s Picnic, students tasted buttered bagels, a blueberry bar, and bananas.  After snack we sorted and graphed our bears by size, color and type. 

Ask your child about our graph results.  Which size had the most bears?  Which type of bear had the fewest? And which color had the greatest number?

We also measured our bears.  Ask your child how many paw prints tall it was. J

     Homework

Next week we will be collecting items that begin with the letter C (cat, can, car, etc.)  Your child can bring 1-4 things to share any day next week. And

3-5 pictures need to be brought to school by Thursday. Thank you!

The Good News

The St. Catherine-St. Mary’s School System will again publish the monthly publication called The Good News. It can be found in the back of St. Mary’s Church.  Be sure to look it over for information/events pertaining to your child/children. Each month there are usually articles and pictures from St. Catherine’s in Oyens. J   We also submit articles to the Remsen Bell Enterprise paper and The Globe diocesan newspaper.
