Soup Kitchen Collection

During the Lenten season, we set aside time for prayer, fasting (sacrifice), and doing good things for others (almsgiving).

Students at St. Catherine-St. Mary’s will continue the tradition of helping others in need with our annual Lenten food collection for the Soup Kitchen in Sioux City.  Each class will be asked to donate a specific item.  These will be collected at our school liturgy March 18.  Thank you for your generous support in this project.

TK and K-large can of whole kernel corn

Grade1-large can of kidney or chili beans

Grade 2-32-40 oz. bottle of ketchup

Grade 3-large can of any creamed soup: mushroom, chicken, or celery

Grade 4-stick margarine

Grade 5-5 lb. bag of potatoes

Grade 6-large can of sliced peaches

Grade 7-large can of tomato sauce: regular or crushed

Grade 8-bag of onions
