From the Musical Directors: The “Sound of Music” books are here! You may come to the office at check out a book for tryouts that are scheduled for tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Please try to watch the movie beforehand if you can. Thanks.
From Coach Mohning: Dance Team Members: Meet in the gym tomorrow, Tuesday, March 9, at 7:45 a.m. to turn in ALL of your dance uniforms.
Spiritual Life: Confirmation Retreat for sophomores on Wednesday, March 10 @ 5:30 p.m. in the church basement.
From Mrs. Arens: The revised Mass time for induction of new NHS members is 5:00 p.m. on March 16.
Also from Mrs. Arens: All previous and NEW NHS members will be expected to help serve the American Legion dinner on March 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Please visit with me if you have any questions.
T-shirts for Haiti~ Do you have any old or unused t-shirts you don’t wear anymore? Donate them to help the people of Haiti! Shirts will be made into mats for beds for the poverty stricken people in that devastated country. You may drop off your donations at Remsen St. Mary’s High School before March 19. Volunteers are needed for this project—contact the high school office at 786-1433.
St. Mary’s Mission Society will have a HUGE garage sale on Friday, March 12 from 9AM to 8PM and Saturday, March 13 from 8AM to 2PM. Located in the building north of American Bank, the sale will have furniture, decorations, and many miscellaneous items. Call Florine @ 786-2229 if you have items to donate to the sale.
If any senior student is interested in bringing a pet to the nursing home on March 12, 2010, please contact Jen F., ASAP! On that day, seniors will get their pets at seventh hour and then proceed to the nursing home for the rest of seventh hour and all of eighth hour.
Lenten schedule for the week of March 8: March 10- Stations of the Cross @ 2:30 p.m. at church- please note change of date! Normal schedule to afternoon drop period 6 have periods 7 and 8 as our last classes before mass. Students will sit with their advisement group, along with their advisors, during Mass.
From the class of 2011: There will be a parent-student prom meeting on Monday, March 15 @ 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.
War Eagle Academic Banquet: Tuesday, March 23 @ 6:00 p.m. at Spalding Catholic.
From the Class of 2011: We will have our annual sub sale beginning on Thursday, March 18. Pick up will be that day after school and March 20, 21 after church. We will begin taking orders on Monday, March 1, 2010.
From CLT: For the remaining Fridays of Lent: There will be a normal casual day. Proceeds will go to our Lenten family.
From Mrs. Arens: Camp Courage this year is June 11-13. Sign Up Sheet is in the office if you are interested.
